Eating Snow

I thought i would introduce you all to a little madam in my life - Macey! A few snaps from our walk to the park the other day, she was more excited than usual as she loves the snow, she thinks the floor is covered in food (snow). She will be a big 13 this year, but she is still a young whipper snapper. I hope you have all enjoyed the snow like macey and been making the most of it.

This week so far i have been getting prepared for a new brief at uni, buying myself a sketchbook and getting motivated. I have also bought myself yet another dvd to add to my collection 'In Bruges' which i have never seen but have only ever heard great things about, i will watch and report back with my review soon. As a side note i checked out the hmv sale today, i was shocked to see my film of 2012 at £5 already, incase you hadnt seen my top five films of 2012 on my twitter @laurenamiparker then here it is again for you

Gangster Squad

So for my three year anniversary with my boyfriend what better way to celebrate than to see some gory shooting and obviously Ryan Goslings beautiful face. Again yet another brilliant film gets bad reviews, i've come to the conclusion that the good films are often the ones with bad reviews. But for the record, i have nothing but good things to say about this film. Amazing from start to finish, brilliant casting and fantastic cinematography. Based on a true story, set in the glamorous city of Los Angeles in the late 40s, a group of officers and detectives form a squad to take down mob king Mickey Cohen (Sean Penn). Josh Brolin (the good guy) as Sgt. John O'Mara brings together the coolest squad imaginable, i have never wanted to join a squad more. Ryan Gosling, Giovanni Ribisi, Anthony Mackie, Robert Patrick and Michael Pena.
Giovanni Ribisi plays someone who isnt crazy, and does it very well. Ryan Gosling is the coolest man ever, he not only looks unbelievable dressed head to toe in his 40s get up but he's shooting people and bedding the absolute fox that is Emma Stone (again).

And if all of that wasnt enough, the entertainment at 'Slapsy Maxies' is wearing bananas on her head, singing a very catchy song which is still in my head one week later, while the squad start shooting the place down.

So good i'm considering seeing it twice, from me a fabulous 5/5, 100%, dont miss it, see you there.
